Description: My name is Danny, but most everyone but my family calls me Tippy. I'm 35 years old. I'm a Leo, if you are into astrology (I was/am). I've never been married, and I don't have kids.
I'm looking for someone to share my time with. I'm slow to anger. It takes quite a bit of effort to move me to anger. I've been let down and disappointed by those I cared deepest for. All my friends abandoned me to my sorrows and pain before I even came to prison. That's fine. I felt alone long before they walked away from me. Hopefully, through this pen pal thing, I can change that.
I won't lie. I've had a very hard life, and I made it harder by my poor decisions. I've done a lot of bad, but that is not what defines me. I've done a lot of good since coming to prison. I'm not the person I was nine years ago when I was arrested. I've got seven years left, and I am determined to make myself a better person.
I'm a great listener, and I care deeply about the people who choose to be a part of my life. I've never been rich or had money. In spite of that, I am not greedy, selfish, or miserly. I share all that I have.
I've studied many religions and consider myself an inter-faith practitioner. I've taken a lot of wisdom from my studies. I lead by example and hope that doing so will inspire others to do better.
I'm a huge nerd. Video games, role-playing games, Magic: The Gathering, you name it. I believe in it so much that I had the words NEЯD LIFE tattooed on my neck. I have a few tattoos.
I'm huge into music. I listen to almost everything, and I'll give anything a listen. Some of my favorite artists are Tool, A Perfect Circle, Hurt, Evans Blue, and Deftones. Music is very important to me. It picks me up when I'm down, gives me comfort (I relate to lyrics a lot), and helps me deal with stress/anxiety. I've written songs for the band I was with here in prison, and performed them. I was back-up vocals, but that's because I hadn't sung out loud in seven years. I used to be pretty good. I want to learn how to play bass, and I want to get my singing voice back.
I'm a writer as well. In addition to songs, I also write poetry and stories. I draw inspiration from my childhood, my pains and anguish, my interests, my beliefs, and my surroundings (for poetry), and my stories usually are either fantasy, paranormal, or nonfiction stories from my life.
I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this, even if you never actually talk to me. Thank you for your time.
— Tippy
